The Coalition of Labor Union Women, New York Chapter, is the working hub for women in the New York City labor movement. We organize across crafts and industries to advance the wages, conditions, and dignity of working women — on the job, in our unions, and across our communities.
We bring women's experience to the labor movement and the labor movement's strength to women.
Founded in Chicago in 1974 by 3,200 union women from across the country, CLUW remains the largest organization of union women in the United States. Our New York Chapter carries that mission forward in the five boroughs — pressing for political action, supporting affirmative action and pay equity, organizing the unorganized, and growing women's leadership inside our locals and central labor bodies.

Membership is open to any woman in good standing with a labor union, and to allied associate members. Your dues fund the bus rentals, the meeting spaces, the printed leaflets, and the rooms where we plan the next campaign.
